Georgia L Gilholy is a journalist. Since the United Kingdom exited the European Union, successive politicians have posited a string of shiny new trade deals as our would-be spoils. The results have been lacklustre, but at least the “Leave” vote binned one layer of bureaucrats- even if the remaining ones have proved wanting. One thing our friends in Whitehall have been chipping away at since being forced to bid farewell to Brussels is a Free Trade Deal (FTA) with India.

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic is set to play in Israel in September. The world No. 6 will compete in the Tel Aviv ATP 250 tournament, just weeks after withdrawing from the US Open due to the legal requirement that non-US residents be vaccinated against Covid-19 before entering the country. The mandate, which has been maintained since November 2021, ruled Djokovic out from the competition given the 35-year-old's decision to not receive the Coronavirus vaccine.

Georgia L Gilholy is a journalist. There is a certain genre of Conservative that enjoys licking his own wounds. This type of character takes a peculiar comfort in being part of an ideological minority that feels itself both morally right and ostracised for being so. But romanticising one’s despair is neither wise nor helpful. It is natural to feel discouraged in tough times, but this must be balanced with pragmatism and energy, especially when it relates to an issue of life and death.

Your last push for "decriminalisation" of abortion proposed repealing Section 60 of the Offences Against the Person Act, which makes it illegal to hide the body of a dead newborn baby, including in circumstances when the baby has been killed through infanticide.

There's a right way and a wrong way to do abortion reform in current political climate- Ask your MP to back our amendment to make right to choice a protect human right in law, so that it cannot be overturned via secondary legislation whoever is in power. https://t.co/vniEd70LmL
