Georgia L Gilholy is a journalist. Since the United Kingdom exited the European Union, successive politicians have posited a string of shiny new trade deals as our would-be spoils. The results have been lacklustre, but at least the “Leave” vote binned one layer of bureaucrats- even if the remaining ones have proved wanting. One thing our friends in Whitehall have been chipping away at since being forced to bid farewell to Brussels is a Free Trade Deal (FTA) with India.

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic is set to play in Israel in September. The world No. 6 will compete in the Tel Aviv ATP 250 tournament, just weeks after withdrawing from the US Open due to the legal requirement that non-US residents be vaccinated against Covid-19 before entering the country. The mandate, which has been maintained since November 2021, ruled Djokovic out from the competition given the 35-year-old's decision to not receive the Coronavirus vaccine.

Georgia L Gilholy is a journalist. There is a certain genre of Conservative that enjoys licking his own wounds. This type of character takes a peculiar comfort in being part of an ideological minority that feels itself both morally right and ostracised for being so. But romanticising one’s despair is neither wise nor helpful. It is natural to feel discouraged in tough times, but this must be balanced with pragmatism and energy, especially when it relates to an issue of life and death.

I’m no fan of Ben-Gvir or Smotrich by any stretch of the imagination, but how can the UK govt-with a straight face-pretend it cares about “extremism” in the Holy Land when we literally have a former Hamas chief living in a London council house? He should be in jail!

“Ben-Gvir and Smotrich have been inciting violence against the Palestinian people. That’s why we’re acting with Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Norway today.” – Foreign Secretary @DavidLammy https://t.co/rq68oPPNjG

Just 1% of women in Great Britain want the abortion time limit to be extended to over 24 weeks & only 1% wanted it to be increased right through to birth. @ToniaAntoniazzi isn’t just wrong, she’s completely out of touch with public opinion.

“Any woman could end a pregnancy at any time, 35 weeks, 36 weeks, 37 weeks, without committing an offence. And you are comfortable with that?” “Yes I am.” Labour MP @ToniaAntoniazzi says women who have abortions need “help and support”, not prosecuting. @StigAbell https://t.co/YnjhjCzn2C
