AbstractMicrobial arsenic (As) methylation in paddy soil produces dimethylarsinic acid (DMA) as the main product, which can cause rice (Oryza sativa L.) straighthead disease characterized by floret sterility. The mode of DMA toxicity remains unclear. Pot and hydroponic experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of DMA and Silicon (Si) additions on floral development, genotoxicity and transcriptomic changes in rice reproductive organs.

This study aimed to investigate the physiological responses and transcriptomic regulation of the fungus under different heavy metal stresses. To identify the members of PRR family in the genomes of seven Rosaceae species, five PRR (AtPRR1/ AtPRR3/ AtPRR5/ AtPRR7/ AtPRR9) protein sequences of Arabidopsis were used as query for BLASTP search. The transcripts of the same gene were removed, and the conserved domains of the sequences were identified by NCBI CD-Search tool to obtain the final PRR members.

Morphology of ray florets in chrysanthemums is tightly associated with cell division and cell expansion, both of which require proper cell cycle progression. Here we identified a Chrysanthemum lavandulifolium homolog ClCYCA2;1, whose expression in ray florets is negatively correlated with petal width in C. lavandulifolium.

Chrysanthemum morifolium, used in tea products, has ornamental and medicinal value.
