DELMAR, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A dance studio based in Delmar is celebrating 50 years of teaching students in several different genres. Barbara’s School of The Dance in Delmar was founded by Barbara Gallager in the 1970s. She was a professional dancer whose career landed her with the NYC Rockettes and Roxyettes. The studio is now owned and run by Caley Dalpe, a former student of Gallager. It has expanded over the years to include new genres, classes for adults, and a competition team.
