Corinne Wiley, a two-term Belvedere City Council member who also served as mayor, has died at age 98. Ms. Wiley contracted COVID-19, according to her family. Ms. Wiley served four years on the Planning Commission and was elected to council in 1996. She also served on the board of Sanitary District No. 5 of Marin County between 2007 and 2011. James Campbell, a former City Council member, said Ms. Wiley recognized Belvedere as a special place to honor with public service.

Tiburon planning officials have received a preliminary application for three downtown housing developments comprising 120 apartments. The homes would be spread across four parcels. The projects would include 26 residences at 1525 Tiburon Blvd., a parking lot adjacent to Town Hall; 12 at 1600 Tiburon Blvd., the site of the former Shark’s Deli; and 82 at 1601 Tiburon Blvd. and 4 Beach Road, the site of a former Bank of America and an adjacent parking lot.

A final report is expected in June to recommend congestion solutions for the next five years and longer-term goals to consider over two decades. The study focuses on Tiburon Boulevard, Paradise Drive and Trestle Glen Boulevard. Friday is the last day of a survey to collect information from including local residents and workers or visitors from elsewhere.
