A man, accused of following a woman and her two children into a Fountain parking lot and firing multiple shots into their vehicle in April, has been arrested. On the evening of April 10, a woman called the Fountain Police Department to report a road rage incident. She said a man in a vehicle had followed her into a retail store parking lot in the 11300 block of Jimmy Camp Road, and fired multiple shots at her vehicle while she and her two daughters were also inside.

A man is accused of committing a hit-and-run crash, trying to run from police, and then assaulting an officer when he was found in a Manitou Springs yard. The Manitou Springs Police Department released a statement Monday, laying out the alleged actions of James Alan Hummel. Police say that around 12:36 p.m. on Monday of last week officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run traffic accident in the 500 block of Manitou Avenue.

A woman says she was shot in the early Friday morning hours in the parking lot for the popular Helen Hunt Falls Visitors Center. Police received a call for service at 2:50 a.m. According to the department's online blotter, officers responded and found an adult female victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim told officers the shooting occurred in a parking lot in the 3400 block of Cheyenne Canyon Road. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

One person was treated for minor smoke inhalation and four apartment units were rendered uninhabitable, following a fire in the Greenway Flats apartments in the 00's block of West Las Vegas Street. The 65-unit apartment building, part of the Springs Rescue Mission organization, was evacuated during the fire response, which was first reported by the Colorado Springs Fire Department on social media platform X around 1:02 p.m. on Friday.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office issued a missing person alert Friday evening for Charlie Brian Burrows, 15. Charlie is described as having light skin, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 150 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red sweater, blue jeans, and grey sneakers. Charlie requires a regular medication. He was last seen in the 13,000 block of Foggy Meadows Drive in Peyton. If seen, please contact (719) 390-5555.
