Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Netflix is introducing new characters from Squid Game Season 2. The streaming service shared a poster and teaser Wednesday showcasing new faces from the upcoming season. Squid Game is a South Korean survival thriller about a deadly game where players risk their lives for the chance to win millions. Lee Jung-jae returns as Seong Gi-hun, aka Player 456, the winner of the previous Squid Game.

With the new season of “Round 6” approaching your premiere date fans eagerly await the new episodes of the South Korean production, which became a worldwide success with its first release in 2021. The series also made history in Emmy Awards becoming the first non-English-language production to be nominated for a Best Drama, in 2022. In addition to a new preview, Netflix has already released more production details, such as the name of the first episode.

Protagonist of the series “Round 6”, Seong Gi-hun tries to end the deadly game in the new trailer for the second season of the production. The next chapter of the story premieres in December 26th in the Netflix streaming platform catalog. Played by the Emmy winner Lee Jung-jae Gi-hun, who promised revenge at the end of the first season, is back in gaming. In the new trailer, the character tries to find ways to end games that challenge players’ survival (see below).
