Recently, an image of Rajinikanth with a bunch of his recent directors went viral. Clicked on the sets of the actor’s upcoming film, Jailer 2, it had the film’s director Nelson along with Karthik Subbaraj (Petta) and Lokesh Kanagaraj (whose film with Rajini, Coolie, will be the actor’s next release). What is interesting to note is that none of the three directors were even born when Rajini made his debut in 1975, with K. Balachander’s Apoorva Raagangal.

Two clips from recent promotional interviews went viral for the most ironic reasons. A Telugu producer asserted that there’s no nepotism in their film industry, and closer home, Sundar C, while promoting his movie Gangers, said his films never have double-meaning dialogues or suggestive sequences. Of course, netizens called it out and had a field day on social media.

Guild ReviewsA haunting memoir of Tamil brothers, steeped in childhood traumaIn Avinash Prakash’s Tamil feature film Naangal which premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam this week, time is stretched by a limited set of events as if perched on a non-stop Ferris wheel. They are the same moments with their ups and downs, same life-altering triggers that repeat in a cyclical fashion.

Cwtch, which means embracing someone to offer a sense of warmth, is a famous Welsh word some of us might be familiar with. An inter-title before Naangal commences introduces us to another one word — Hiraeth — which means homesickness for a home one cannot return to or one that never existed.

Who knew that a character sending a specific someone’s photo on a WhatsApp group would make for one of the ‘massiest’ sequences we have seen in recent times?

Looks like it's official! #LokeshKanagaraj is doing #IrumbuKaiMaayavi with #AamirKhan!

Bollywood actor #AamirKhan has confirmed he’s working on a big-scale superhero action film with virtuoso Tamil director #LokeshKanagaraj https://t.co/oN5pHvNeR5

I really hope the Singam sequel rumours are true. The first one is a classic, the second one (currently playing on SunTV) is too good and even the third film is far better than the recent commercial entertainers we've been getting. Hope Durai Singam returns and so does Anushka.

Unsure which part one should be annoyed about the most. Dafuq is a 'hot doctor', and when did a doctor falling in love with a cop become 'breaking the norm'? Haven't you people seen films like Theri and Kaaki Sattai?

"#TriptiDimri plays the part of a hot doctor who falls in love with #Prabhas. With #Spirit, #SandeepReddyVanga will be breaking the norm of conventional romance, as a doctor falls in love with a cop. He has designed intense romantic moments & strong drama in Spirit"- Source (BH). https://t.co/2BHM9CG6Fc
