WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Cameron Park, a perfect place to hike, bike, horseback ride or just relax, is a jewel in Waco’s crown. 416 acres of remote wilderness just minutes from downtown. A word of caution, we are not the only things attracted to the park. With ample vegetation and a humid environment, it’s also the perfect habitat for snakes. This spring, there’s been more sightings reported of venomous copperheads than in recent memory. Some are wondering why we are seeing so many snakes.
