HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Rockets are back in the playoffs for the first time in five seasons. For the next few days, they'll enjoy the hard-earned reward that comes with the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, which is rest. "After the last game the last three years, it was always like, 'See you next year,'" Rockets all-star center Alperen Sengun said.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- All the attention in San Antonio is on Duke. The national media has high praise for a Blue Devils team with the National Player of the Year, Cooper Flagg, and at least two more likely NBA lottery draft picks. Duke is unquestionably talented and has played at a high level all season, but so has UH. I asked Cougars guard L.J. Cryer about UH playing with a chip on their shoulder Saturday night. He said, "It can be any little thing, from being overlooked or under-recruited.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Ahead of Saturday's Final Four matchup against Duke, the Cougars got an early start on film work. UH senior J'Wan Roberts offers the Blue Devils his full respect, but the Coogs won't be intimidated. "They're pretty good, but I feel like once we come in with that defensive mentality, it's going to be a different ball game," Roberts said. This year's UH team is the 20th team he's taken to the NCAA Tournament, and his rules for success never change. "We don't change. Do what we do," Sampson said.

I walked out to the news set and the wheels fell off for the #Astros.

J’Wan Roberts will NOT let anyone blame Emanuel Sharp for the late loss to Florida. Roberts is the ultimate leader. This was a special team in all the ways that count. #ForTheCity https://t.co/j2KLpQFpEy

Trademark UH run. Defense keys it and they’re flying. Todd Golden waited too long to call the timeout. #MarchMadness2025
