Some NFL teams have embraced advanced analytics in recent years. The New England Patriots haven’t been one of them. But that might be changing under new head coach Mike Vrabel. The Patriots on Wednesday hired Ekene Olekanma to be their director of coaching analytics, per ESPN’s Seth Walder. Olekanma spent the last three seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, serving as the organization’s football research and development coordinator for the previous two years.

Olivia Araujo was just looking to keep the inning going for Greater New Bedford. But she delivered much more than that on a big stage to not only stun Foxboro, but her own head coach as well. https://t.co/HmgKZMyZBN

Down by a run in the sixth inning in a state semifinal. A dynastic run hanging in the balance, too. Pressure? Yes, but it brought out the best in Taunton. https://t.co/oBnBjdSp0j

Final: Taunton 2 Bishop Feehan 1. Shamrocks put two runners on in the seventh but couldn’t get them in as a grounder to third ends it. Ashlyn Herbert’s RBI double the difference and Cate Larson scatters four hits and tallies 11 strikeouts.
