CASPER, Wyo. — A Casper man is facing life in prison as a habitual offender after allegedly biting off a deputy’s fingertip at the Natrona County Detention Center last night. Andrew “Beau” Barrett, 39, appeared in circuit court on two felonies related to the incident after being booked into the jail on Tuesday for two third-time drug possession offenses. He is presumed innocent unless proven or pleading guilty.

CASPER, Wyo. — A 20-year Casper woman was sentenced to five to eight years in prison on Wednesday for participating in a fentanyl delivery conspiracy. The sentence for Lita Marie King will run concurrent to the five- to seven-year sentence she got last fall in a separate but overlapping case that began with state drug enforcement agents investigating the distribution of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
