MARIA STEIN, Ohio (WKEF) -- A middle school student is in custody after authorities say they threatened harm at Marion Local Schools. According to a statement from the Mercer County Sheriff's Office, the agency was contacted by the district, reporting a middle school student made threats to cause harm at the school. Both deputies and detectives responded and are working with district staff to investigate.

CLAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) -- A Northmont City Schools employee remains behind bars Tuesday. According to the district's website, Matthew Hunt works in the transportation department. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail Monday, May 5, on preliminary sexual battery charges, according to the jail's website. Jail records also show Hunt was taken into custody at Northmont Middle School.

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) -- Three people have been taken into custody after a young girl was bit by a dog and shots were fired. Dayton Police said officers were called to the 300 block of Delaware Avenue Monday, just before 5 P.M. on reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers said they tried to locate all involved. According to a statement from DPD, an argument between two groups broke out after an 11-year-old girl was bit by a dog; multiple shots were then fired between the two groups.
