AbstractIn transmission electron microscopy (TEM), cameras are square or rectangular but beams are round so the circular lobes irradiate adjacent areas, precluding further neighboring acquisition for beam-sensitive samples. We present condenser aperture plates with square and rectangular shapes that improve the efficiency of area usage by 70% and enhance montage imaging for beam-sensitive specimens.

New Results doi: https://doi.org/10.1101/2023.08.13.553155 AbstractIn transmission electron microscopy (TEM) cameras are square or rectangular but beams are round. With a beam size chosen to fill the camera at a given image magnification, the circular lobes of the beam will extend beyond the camera's field of view and irradiate areas that are not acquired on the camera, damaging and precluding them from future acquisitions if the sample is beam sensitive.

2pm - 3.30pm Makars’ Court is an evolving national literary monument where you can see some of the famous words of great Scottish writers inscribed in the flagstones.
