NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — We have a beautiful day on tap to start out the week but enjoy it because much more unsettled weather will move in over the next few days. Low humidity will stick around through much of the afternoon Monday with highs only around 80-82. Clouds begin to move in late today and tonight. Rain chances come back tomorrow and last through much of the week. This looks like a situation where we see several rounds of rain over the next 3-5 days, but it won’t be raining the whole time.

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Storms will move through the area tonight and bring the potential for severe weather. This area of rain is currently moving through Texas and will likely get to our area after midnight. We could see a few isolated showers and storms develop this evening ahead of that main batch. Currently the SPC has a level two severe threat over our area for tonight into early Saturday. The main threat with these storms will be strong wind gusts.

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A more active pattern moves in over the next couple of days as a cold front from the west sinks south into the area. We will start Thursday with a weakening cluster of storms, moving in from the west. Most of this activity fades out before reaching our area, but we could see a few storms on the western side of the area through the morning. Otherwise, the rest of Thursday looks fairly quiet on the South Shore with just isolated showers.

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — We stay a little warmer tonight but still see some upper 60s on the north shore Wednesday morning with low to mid 70s south. Afternoon temperatures will once again climb into the mid to upper 80s. It looks like we will stay dry through at least Wednesday. Chances of any pop up storms are very low. Mid to upper 80s will continue for afternoon temps through the middle of the week. By the end of the week a cold front starts to move into the area.
