    Gateway Church founder Robert Morris appeared before an Osage County, Oklahoma, judge for a short court hearing Friday morning on child sexual abuse charges. The judge set the date for the former Texas megachurch pastor’s next appearance on Sept. 4, CBS News reported. That will be a preliminary hearing where the prosecution will present evidence to try to establish probable cause that the case should go to trial. Morris has already entered a not guilty plea in the case, according to court records.

    Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a person whose body was found on a Fort Worth highway early Monday, May 5, officials said. Fort Worth officers were called to 6619 N.W. Loop 820 shortly after 6:45 a.m. for an investigation. The Lake Worth Police Department told them that someone had been found dead on the road. The victim may have been hit by a vehicle that left the scene, according to police. So far no witnesses have come forward.

Photos posted on the White Settlement Police Department’s Facebook page show a Ford Escape sitting outside the Red Roof Inn, surrounded by broken bricks and wood. The front of the SUV is mangled and part of the wall of the building is torn away.
