AbstractFibroblasts play critical roles in tissue homeostasis, but in pathologic states can drive fibrosis, inflammation, and tissue destruction. In the joint synovium, fibroblasts provide homeostatic maintenance and lubrication. Little is known about what regulates the homeostatic functions of fibroblasts in healthy conditions.
