CCTV footage has been released of a Sex Education actor being pepper-sprayed by officers who wrongly suspected him of being involved in a police chase. The police watchdog found the force used to detain Reece Richards, who appeared as Eugene in two episodes of the hit Netflix series, was "reasonable" and did not uphold an allegation he was discriminated against because of his race. Steve first spotted the eye-catching stickers while walking to the shops in Burton upon Trent. Plastered on bins and lamp posts, they featured a shiny, green cannabis leaf with a QR code and the words "get your delivery". The former prison officer, who is in his 50s, wanted to try the Class B drug as an alternative to prescribed opiates to ease his pain after breaking his back in three places. He had only recently moved to the Staffordshire market town and was reluctant to buy off the street.

A Montessori nursery worker was caught on CCTV pinching, punching and grabbing babies as she "badly treated" 24 children in her care, a court has heard. Roksana Lecka, 22, allegedly assaulted or ill-treated 23 of the alleged victims while working at the Riverside Nursery in Twickenham Green, southwest London, between January and June last year.

Police have not kept up with the risks posed to the public by social media, a review of the response to last summer's UK riots has found. Mosques and hotels housing migrants were among the targets of violence which erupted after Axel Rudakubana stabbed three girls to death at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport in July.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) said it is working with the National Crime Agency and National Cyber Security Centre to investigate the data breach. In a letter sent to law firms last week, which has been seen by Sky News, the Legal Aid Agency (LAA) warned it had identified a "security incident".
