Firefighters are dealing with a fire that has spread from a garage to three houses. A number of vehicles have also been impacted by the fire that happened on Priory Close, Burscough. Eight fire engines are in attendance at the scene and we have a reporter on their way. The northbound carriage of the M6 has been closed due to a lorry fire. The motorway has been closed between junction 22 (Winwick) and junction 23 (Haydock) since just before 3am due to the fire. The closure is expected to remain in place for several hours as emergency services deal with the incident. Diversions have been put in place for people travelling in the area.
