Chef Heston Blumenthal, 58, grew up in London. He opened the Fat Duck in Bray, Berkshire, in 1995, with dishes such as bacon and egg ice cream and snail porridge. It has three Michelin stars and in 2005 was named the world’s best restaurant. His pub, the Hinds Head, has one Michelin star, and his London restaurant, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, has two. He lives in Provence with his wife, Melanie Ceysson, and has four children. I always thought I was never good enough.
