A REGIONAL airport in the UK has revealed its plans to open a new premium lounge as part of its £9million renovation. Liverpool John Lennon Airport will open a new Aspire Executive Lounge before the peak summer season hits airports. The new Aspire Executive Lounge will be three times larger than the airport's current Aspire lounge. It will also be able to fit twice as many passengers, with enough space for up to 200 guests. The new lounge will be spread across two tiers.

A FLIGHT attendant has revealed three ways passengers can avoid back pain during flights. A holidaymaker posted their concerns about flying with a back injury on Reddit. BIRMINGHAM is quickly transforming into a “third world city”, according to residents impacted by the ongoing bin strikes which has left 17,000 tonnes of rubbish on the streets. A major incident was declared this week by Birmingham City Council after the industrial action left mountains of uncollected waste piled high across the city. Members of the Unite union have been on all-out strike since March 11 in a dispute over pay and job losses.

Which? sifted through hotels advertised as five stars on Hotels.com to find the world's most affordable luxury accommodation. The consumer watchdog analysed any hotels that were named as five stars on Hotels.com before looking at customer ratings over 8 out of 10. And the cheapest option was Emerald Bay Hotel & Spa in Nha Trang, Vietnam, with rooms just over £20 for the night.

FAMILIES heading to Disney World in Orlando this summer can save up to 50 per cent on kids' tickets this summer. Described as a first-of-its-kind deal, children aged between 3 and 9 will be able to get half-price entry to Walt Disney World. The discount is only valid for visits between May 27 and September 20, 2025. However, the deal can only be applied to three-day tickets or any tickets that last longer.

BUDGET airline Ryanair could scrap more flights in France over the course of the next year. The low-cost carrier is expected to reduce flights to French airports by up to five per cent, according to airline boss Michael O'Leary. Quoted inLe FigaroMr O’Leary said: "The sad truth is that France is not growing as much [as other European countries]."It comes after the low-cost airline scrapped its services from Paris-Vatry Airport (Marne) earlier this year.

A TOWN on the edge of the Peak District is set to benefit from a huge £100million renovation plan. Standing 300metres above sea level, Buxton is the highest market town in the country. The Derbyshire spa town is famous for its geothermal springs, which have been attracting visitors for centuries. Buxton could be set to increase its tourist offering thanks to a huge multi-million-pound regeneration plan. The plan would see a shopping centre replaced with shops, bars and restaurants.
