A 'haunted' pub's landlord fears punters' tales of an 'aggressive ghost' named Fred could be true - after footage showed a glass being 'pushed' off the bar and smashing on the floor. An empty pint glass can be seen eerily moving to the edge of a shelf at The Woodmans Arms, Isle of Wight. The item then falls and smashes on the floor behind the bar, leaving two stunned barmaids and a customer looking over and wondering what happened.

A British holidaymaker endured a six-hour 'flight from hell', suffering from diarrhoea and throwing up 30 times before being take-off the plane in a wheelchair, having eaten what he says was a 'smelly' Etihad Airways in-flight chicken meal. Cameron Callaghan was taking a flight from Manchester Airport to Bangkok via Abu Dhabi on January 6 ahead of his trip around South-East Asia.

The UK is set to witness a partial solar eclipse this weekend as the Moon moves in front of and partially obscures the Sun, casting a shadow over parts of the Northern Hemisphere. This follows a total lunar eclipse just a few weeks ago on March 14, which was not visible from the UK. This time, the Moon will again pass in front of and partially block the Sun, casting a shadow over parts of the Northern Hemisphere. The sun will appear as a crescent, as though a chunk has been removed.
