    The mum of a little girl diagnosed with a tumour so large it distorted the shape of her brain is calling on other parents to get their children’s eye tested. Sophie Evans, 35, from Tean, took her older daughter Esmai to the opticians in January 2024 after the youngster complained that she could 'see spots'. They were told there were no problems but a year later, when Esmai experienced what looked like 'a mini seizure', Sophie took her back to the opticians and was told to go straight to A&E.

    A tourist attraction has issued a warning after two adults were pictured walking with a child and two dogs along a train track. Foxfield Railway shared a photo of the trio meandering down the line in North Staffordshire today. While their trains only have a top speed of 15mph, the attraction pointed out that walking on the tracks is 'dangerous' and sets a 'bad example'.

    An HGV driver who tragically ended his own life "could not face the embarrassment" of potentially being banned from his beloved football club or being sent to jail, an inquest heard. Devoted Chester FC supporter Andrew Paul Hewitt, aged 52, was found dead at his Flint, North Wales residence on December 1. His body was discovered shortly after he had been to an away game against National League opponents Warrington Town.
