The latest edition of Jolly vs. Giglio was all about Saquon Barkley: if we get to Week 18 and he has a chance to break the single-season rushing record, but the Eagles' seed is locked in - do you let him run for the record, or ease up and keep him healthy for the playoffs?

The Lions take on the Packers on Thursday night in a game that has huge implications on who will get the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. Should the Lions hang on (they currently lead the Eagles by a game), they would host the NFC title game if they make it that far, while Philly would get to host a potential NFC championship game at the Linc. "I don't understand all of this apprehension about Jalen. He has proven that he can get it done when he needs to get it done," Joyner said.

Come Friday morning, after the Packers and Lions clash in the biggest Thursday Night Football game of the year so far, either Detroit will be 12-1 dropping Green Bay off the pace, or the newly 10-3 Pack will have given the Eagles a chance to tie the Motor City Kitties for the best record in the NFC on Sunday. In the current NFL, the latter would be huge for one reason: only one playoff bye.
