Wednesday marks the opening of the spring football transfer portal window, which spans 10 days through April 25 and will provide a better idea of Charlotte's 2025 roster under first-year head coach Tim Albin. Following a mass exodus after Biff Poggi's firing, including more than 15 starters from last season's roster, Albin has brought in a new crop of talent in his first season in the American Athletic Conference, and it sounds like more help is on the way.

It's a position that Charlotte 49ers coach Tim Albin has years of experience developing. And it's something that Charlotte fans have likened to a revolving door over the past two seasons. The leash was extremely tight under former coach Biff Poggi and his staff.

With a week of spring practice under their belt, Tim Albin's Charlotte 49ers have put on pads and are ramping up for the first live practices of the offseason. Tuesday's session featured a healthy dose of competition scattered across McCall-Richardson field, with the again in full quarterbacks focus. With skill development taking top priority, Charlotte is in the process of learning the new systems implemented on both sides of the ball.
