National Take Back Day is held every April 26 and is designed to give people a safe place to dispose of all unused medications, including opioids. The program has been held in some shape or form for 28 years, collecting a total of 19,829,761 pounds of unused medications from across the country.

    YORK, Neb. (KSNB) - An Omaha man was arrested over the weekend after authorities in York discovered he was a felon and traveling with multiple weapons. A deputy with the York County Sheriff’s Department stopped a vehicle on South Lincoln Avenue for a traffic violation on Saturday. During the traffic stop, the deputy spotted multiple weapons in plain view and a passenger, later identified as 31-year-old James Rystrom.

A York woman is behind bars this morning after the York Police Department announced that they responded to a stabbing last Friday. The department said that officers were called to the 700 block of East 20th Street. Officers located the victim and suspect inside the house after a witness alerted them of the situation. The York Fire Department transported the victim to York General Hospital.
