#1 · Gentlemen,Here are a few photos and an update on my Grand Seiko. I'm not sure if I shared the full story of my journey to this watch on WUS so I thought I would now. I have longed for the SBGR-061 for years and I can't remember exactly when or whose photos first captured my attention but I was memorized by the contrast between the ivory dial and the blue second hand.

#1 · After examining the Platinum Yacht-Master for a while I realised that I couldn't feel this aura of a $12,000 watch. It was light, it was kinda pretty but I honestly would choose the Lake Suwa instead. and of course...photos Today at a lunch meeting, my team member and I were talking about watches (no, the meeting was NOT about watches). I was eyeing his lovely Rolex and he was checking out my Grand Seiko.

Moving up in my chrono experience.... Zenith El Primero is very pleasant to use (I'm biased as an owner). Granted the rectangular pushers on some models are much much better than traditional circular tall ones (so compared to my 1969, EP models with wide rectangular pushers are actually much better). Similarly Omega new chrono movements (9300) are damn smooth and pleasure to use (despite circular pushers) I have to make a special call-out for Tag Heuer as well.

I wanted a special watch. Something that was considered the epitome of Watch Making (without going into stupidly high prices). I felt like I did not want another mechanical watch. I was tired of seeing my Tudor BlackBay 36 deviate by 2 or 3 seconds a day. I know that is supposed to be wonderful for a mechanical time piece but I didn't like being 10-15s off at the end of a week. Now Grand Seiko is the name that usually comes up when people want the best (and did not like Rolex AD games).

Ok LOL it's me again. I know I ought to get therapy instead of trying to figure which is the most accurate website. The Official U.S. Time | NIST is supposed to be the official time but have you noticed that the analogue display is about 1s slower than the digital display? I've set my watch on the analogue display and much to my chagrin, it is now 1s off LOL seems to have the same time (digital). My computer clock is set off time.apple.com and Apple is 1s slow...thanks.
