Moving up in my chrono experience.... Zenith El Primero is very pleasant to use (I'm biased as an owner). Granted the rectangular pushers on some models are much much better than traditional circular tall ones (so compared to my 1969, EP models with wide rectangular pushers are actually much better). Similarly Omega new chrono movements (9300) are damn smooth and pleasure to use (despite circular pushers) I have to make a special call-out for Tag Heuer as well.

I've owned two, a skeleton a few years ago that I moved on, but if you like them, it was very well done. I just purchased this one a few weeks ago and IMHO, it is the best example of a pilot watch with 200m WR, heat blued hands, the case is very well machined, exacting, with sharp angles and the finishing is very well done. I have had an Archimede pilot that was also well done, however, not to this level.

#2 · Look through the 140 pages of this thread :https://www.watchuseek.com/f2/hey-lets-see-some-lume-shots-2129850.htmlTritium isn't brighter initially, but regular lume quickly fades to a lower level, and tritium holds its brightness consistently. A bunch of brands use tritium too - Ball, Marathon, Deep Blue are probably the most common. Search for lume threads on here... there are a lot of them.

Becoming brittle? Ceramic is by its nature brittle. If you're asking if it will degrade and crumble like many plastics, well, pottery (porcelain) is ceramic and there are examples out there that are thousands of years old and look about as good as the day they were new. Glass is also a type of ceramic. Lots of historic stained glass windows in cathedrals that are centuries old and haven't turned to dust.

#2 · Congratulations, mate. What is your thesis on? For this occasion, I'd go for the Speedmaster. The TAG looks cool, but the Speedmaster has a rich history, clean lines and timeless elegance. You can wear that watch to any event, at any point, and it will still be stylish. It'll still be connected to the moon landing. For sentimental occasions, go for the watch that can be worn to anything. Make sure you try both on though.
