WE ARE FOLLOWING BREAKING NEWS OUT OF BEDFORD... WHERE WALLACE ROAD JUST REOPENED A FEW MINUTES AGO... AFTER POLICE RESPONDED TO AN INCIDENT. IT'S NOT CLEAR EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED AT THIS POINT... BUT WE KNOW SEVERAL POLICE CRUISERS WERE ON THE SCENE WHEN OUR CREW GOT THEIR ABOUT AN HOUR AGO. OUR IMANI FLEMING IS LIVE IN BEDFORD WITH WHAT WE ARE LEARNING SO FAR.

SERIOUS DAMAGE TODAY WITH THAT AMOUNT OF RAIN IN SUCH SHORT A PERIOD OF TIME. IT IS REALLY DIFFICULT TO KEEP UP WITH IT. SEVERAL NEW HAMPSHIRE COMMUNITIES PLAYING CATCH-UP SATURDAY AFTER RAIN FRIDAY NIGHT CAUSED SOME SERIOUS FLOODS AND DAMAGE TO ROADS. THE GROUND REALLY CAN’T ABSORB ANY MORE WATER. STREETS IN PLACES LIKE HENNIKER, HILLSBOROUGH, AND ANTRIM COVERED IN SO MUCH WASHED UP DEBRIS THAT THE ANTRIM FIRE CHIEF SAYS THE AFTERMATH OF THIS STORM LOOKS A BIT FAMILIAR.

THROUGH THAT HOUR BY HOUR WEEKEND TIMELINE AND ONE COMMUNITY HIT HARD BY THE SEVERE WEATHER TONIGHT. HILLSBOROUGH. THEY WERE UNDER A FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR PART OF THE NIGHT. AN ENTIRE STRETCH OF ROUTE NINE HAD TO BE SHUT DOWN BECAUSE OF WATER COVERING THE ROAD. WMUR MARNI FLEMING IS IN HILLSBOROUGH NOW WITH WHAT CONDITIONS LOOK LIKE RIGHT NOW. AMANI. WELL, STEVE, RIGHT NOW WE ARE ON HENNIKER ROAD HERE IN HILLSBOROUGH. THIS IS THE ROAD HERE. IT’S BEING BLOCKED OFF BY POLICE CARS, YOU CAN TELL.

The rain this spring has been tough on sports leagues across New Hampshire.Officials with the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association said it has been a challenge this season rescheduling so many games that were postponed because of the weather.The problem has been made worse because of graduation ceremonies that have also needed to be rescheduled because of the rain.
