    BOERNE, Texas — The annular solar eclipse attracted many out of towners to the Texas Hill Country. Downtown Boerne proved to be a popular spot to set up a chair, put on eclipse glasses and watch the darkening skies. Families packed the lively downtown square to catch a glimpse of the "ring of fire". KENS 5 met Audrey Starkey who drove in from Tulsa to meet her son in Boerne. She said she had to see the annular eclipse in-person. "It was a no brainer. I was like, 'I'm coming!'" said Starkey.

    BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — Very few have experienced it. Most don't know it exists. About two miles down a dirt road, west of Natural Bridge Caverns, is the largest bat colony in the world: Bracken Bat Cave. "There's about a million bats at Congress Avenue Bridge [in Austin]," said Mylea Bayless, Chief of Strategic Partnerships for Bat Conservation International (BCI).
