SAN ANTONIO — For the third time in less than a year, emergency crews responded to a serious incident at a Boerne-area preschool. This time, a 6-year-old girl lost her life. The child was attending a summer program Friday morning at ExcellED Montessori Plus when she was found unresponsive in a bathroom, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities say she may have suffered a seizure.

SAN ANTONIO (KENS) – Loved ones say a woman was around the corner from her home when a pickup truck traveling in the wrong direction hit her vehicle. Shortly after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, 28-year-old Karina Ramirez was almost home when a pickup barreled toward her in the wrong lane and never stopped. In the passenger seat were two little girls: 9-year-old Skylar and 7-year-old Aliyah. They weren’t her biological kids, but Ramirez loved them like her own.

The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 3800 block of Harry Wurzbach Road, near Eisenhauer Road.
