While the county's long-term growth forecast to 2051 has assigned 90 per cent of the growth to municipally-serviced urban centres, the county's policy planning manager, Sarah Wilhelm, said the remaining 10 per cent needs to come from rural growth.

ERIN — Erin council isn’t convinced two developments proposed for Eighth Line are the right fit. Following a lengthy discussion at an Erin council meeting Thursday afternoon, councillors unanimously voted to defer the approval of two draft plans of subdivision from Coscorp Inc. and Mattamy Homes that would see 628 residential units constructed between 5552 Eighth Line and 5520 Eighth Line in Erin until they can get more information about any potential water and traffic impacts.

Approved at Puslinch council meeting Wednesday morning, the developer, WDD Main Street Inc., is proposing 21 single-detached units of approximately 0.2 hectares on a vacant property at 11 Main St. in Morriston.
