Brought to Innerleithen Memorial Hall by On the Brinck Promotions and Hemelvaart Bier Café, the Drag Race Showcase event on Saturday, January 11 was a smash-hit with fans of Drag and the cult-classic TV series Rupaul's Drag Race.

The Volunteer Hall was filled with 1930s glamour as Cole Porter's classic musical was brought to life aboard the S.S. American. And although some may only know the titular song, Anything Goes, audiences are bound to fall in love with the equally tuneful I Get a Kick Out of You and Blow, Gabriel, Blow.

2 1/1 TWIN brothers have made it through the first episode of live shows of the Celebrity X Factor. Max and Harvey Mills, 16, are the grandsons of Walkerburn theatre company owner Sue Tickner. Magdalena Banka has been a photographic force in Peeblesshire, having taken amazing snapshots of various events around the region – including this year’s St Ronan’s Border Games week. Now Magdalena is opening her new studio. To be based in Melrose, she hopes the first-floor hub will give her the chance to help families capture the important moments in their lives.
