On Wednesday, October 26, students on campus had the opportunity to raise awareness of domestic and interpersonal violence by taking part in the Clothesline Project, held in the Grill. The Clothesline Project presents a visual display against domestic violence, in the form of colored T-shirts adorned with messages and designs related to different types of violence.

The month of April is recognized as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. To focus attention on this issue, Cabrini’s Coordinated Community Response Team hosted the Clothesline Project on Tuesday, Apr. 11. This national program allowed students to pick and design t-shirts that shared a message or image representing their own or another person’s experience with interpersonal violence.

By Isaiah DicksonMarch 28, 2023 At the beginning of the fall 2022 semester, Cabrini University announced the end of its partnership with Penn Medicine. The partnership was replaced by the return of campus health services. Pre-pandemic Cabrini and Penn Medicine partnered in the hope that students would be able to go off campus to receive health services. The partnership officially started in July 2020.

On Friday, Feb. 17 Cabrini Campus Activities and Programming Board hosted a Black Artist Showcase in Grace Hall. In honor of Black History Month, the event provided a space for Black students to highlight their talents in a variety of ways, from singing to digital art. Spoken word artist Kyla Jenee Lacey was featured as the headlining act. The event ran from 6-8 p.m. and started with a set of poems from Lacey. After that, the floor was open for students to take the stage and share their skills.

Throughout the week of Feb. 5, Cabrini University’s Social Work Club hosted events during which students could make Valentine’s Day cards. This is an annual event in which the club invites students to make cards which are then sent to children in hospitals. Cards sent to local hospitalsThis year the cards will go to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia as well as the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
