ALLENTOWN, Pa. - An Allentown city employee charged with fabricating a hate crime is scheduled to go to trial. LaTarsha Brown did not respond when 69 News Reporter Jaccii Farris asked her, "If you didn't put the noose on your desk, then who did?"However, according to court documents, Brown provided police with several names of individuals who might have placed a noose on her desk in the Allentown Department of Community and Economic Development.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - An Allentown city employee, accused of planting a noose on her own desk and claiming it was an act of racism, is headed to trial. Latarsha Brown, who works in the city's Department of Community and Economic Development, made the claim in January. Brown was in court Tuesday morning, April 22. Latarsha Brown waived her preliminary hearing, and did not speak on the charges. Her attorney Michael Walker says that waiver has nothing to do with innocence or guilt.

FOUNTAIN HILL, Pa. - For 88 years, the building at Church and Green streets in Fountain Hill has been a hub for education, first as a high school, and then turning into an elementary school in the early 70's. But on Friday, it was the hub of excitement, and a homecoming of sorts. "Hello, I'm Jack Silva, superintendent of schools, but a long time ago, I was a student here at Fountain Hill Elementary," Silva said.

But after seeing an urgent Facebook post from the Allentown Rescue Mission asking for food, 69 News photojournalist Chaz Smith and reporter Jaccii Farris got to work at Weis. "We really have a shortage of fresh meats right now, chicken, beef, eggs and sausage," said Lori Novak, development manager at the Allentown Rescue Mission.
