KIERAN SHOEMARK will get the chance to prove the ultimate point to John Gosden in Paris on Sunday. He has been snapped up by Charlie Fellowes for the French 2000 and 1000 Guineas - where he will take on two big Gosden runners having been dumped as the stable’s No1 jockey. Shoemark, 29, was expected to ride Gosden’s Detain and Zanzoun in the colts’ and fillies’ Classics respectively, but now he’ll be riding against them at Longchamp aboard Luther and Shes Perfect.

JOHN GOSDEN has dumped jockey Kieran Shoemark after Field Of Gold's narrow defeat in Saturday's 2000 Guineas. GOLDEN CIRCET (5.25 Windsor, nap) Got the job done nicely when winning on his turf comeback at Bath last time. He looked a strong stayer over the 1m2f trip and should cope with this stiffer stamina test with Oisin Murphy taking over in the saddle. CHARMAINE (3.45 Kempton, nb) Been in fine form on the sand and got her head in front at Southwell last time.

RULING COURT ran them ragged at Newmarket as Godolphin’s 2000 Guineas stranglehold continued. The hugely exciting colt won the season’s first Classic with a stunning burst of acceleration as Charlie Appleby and the boys in blue bagged the race for the third time in four years. But John Gosden’s 35-year wait for a first Guineas win goes on, as his 15-8 favourite Field Of Gold couldn't overhaul the winner in a never-nearer second.
