In their first season back in the Championship since the 1998/99 campaign, Oxford United enjoyed a very respectable time finish. The impact of Gary Rowett’s autumn appointment was strong, with his experience of the division proving key in staving off an immediate drop to League One. Interesting in the Pouliches Zarigana was hit twice with the whip and a minimum of 10 with the jockey’s hand down the neck. Is @francegalop saying you can hit a horse as many times as you like as long as not with a whip? Anything else is ok? 🏇🏇🏇
It’s taken a few hours to get over the Pouliches - but my abiding memory of that race and the week is that Kieran Shoemark is as classy a fella as you could meet. Even if you think he’s rubbish as many on here claim - few could argue he has the mental strength of an iron horse 🏇
