WASHINGTON, D.C. (KY3) - Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt is addressing concerns from a local agency in response to Title X funding delays. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced last week that it’s withholding 10 payments to the Missouri Family Health Council. That money supports several planning groups, including the Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation, which provides pap smears, breast exams, and STD testing.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - It’s the first full week of school for many students around the Ozarks and while it’s exciting, it can also be very stressful for kids. For parents, Cindy Griessel, a physician assistant with Mercy, recommends having open conversations with your children to gauge how they’re doing. “Just ask good, open-ended questions so that it gets them talking because I think we say how was your day at school, and then the answer is fine or terrible,” said Griessel.
