LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Thankfully we are looking at a dry Good Friday, but we are tracking some strong winds at times throughout the day. Expect a mixture of sun and clouds as we head throughout the day as temperatures continue to climb into the lower and middle 80s. Winds will be rather gusty at times as we track gust nearing 25 to 30 mph at times. This will continue to bring in plenty of moisture to keep things nice and humid.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Not much change with the forecast as things look to stay nice and quiet as we head through much of the week. Humidity has returned for the start of the week as we’ll see strong southerly winds throughout our Monday. Temperatures will warm quickly through the afternoon thanks to plenty of sunshine and winds gusting to near 25 mph at times. Highs will top out in the lower 80s and we can expect that to be the case for much of the week ahead.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - So far so good this week with the weather as sunshine and warmer temperatures have remained in place. Good news for our Thursday is that we are in a rinse and repeat pattern as we’ll do it all over again this afternoon. You may want a light jacket as you step put the door, but by the afternoon temperatures are heading into the upper 70s to near 80.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Let’s rinse and repeat and do it all over again as we track plenty of sunshine and warm afternoons. High pressure continues to remain in place and keeping things nice and quiet for any outdoor plans you may have. Winds will be a bit of a factor as we head through the second half of the day as gust near 20 mph and more importantly are back out of the south. This will help to slowly bring back moisture over the next few days giving us a touch more humidity.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Other than a chilly start this morning, not much to worry about with the weather over the coming days. You’ll definitely want the jacket and the coat as you step out the door as temperatures have fallen into the lower and middle 40s. Thankfully plenty of sunshine is in the forecast as we head into the afternoon helping to warm us nicely. Highs will rebound into the lower and middle 70s as winds remain light and low humidity remains in place.
