The Baylor-McCallie rivalry needs no introduction. In any sport. Anytime they play it’s always special, but even Wednesday night was a nice added bonus when the two teams took the field at AT&T Field to finish up their regular season series. The Red Raiders already clinched the series, but they would not be denied a perfect regular season region record. Big Red jumped all over the Blue Tornado with five runs in the first inning and never looked back.

CHATTANOOGA, TN (GoMocs.com) - The Chattanooga softball team won its fifth straight game, fourth by shutout, in a 4-0 win over Tennessee State Wednesday night at Frost Stadium. Chattanooga put up two runs in the first then added another two in the fifth and didn’t allow the Tigers across the plate. The Mocs improved to 31-11 overall while Tennessee State moved to 20-14 overall. Kailey Snell tripled, her second three-bagger in four games, to lead off the bottom of the first inning.

KNOXVILLE, TN (utsports.com) - No. 2/4 Tennessee found the win column for the 32nd time this season with a 13-3 run-rule victory over Bellarmine on Tuesday night at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Knights (9-27) got on the board early with a leadoff home run, but UT (32-5) quickly answered back and took control of the game.

CHATTANOOGA, TN (GoMocs.com) - Senior Olivia Lipari’s fourth inning home run was the difference in Chattanooga’s 2-1 win over Lipscomb Tuesday evening at Frost Stadium. The Mocs claimed their 30th win over the season improving to 30-11 overall while the Bisons fall to 20-23 on the year. Lipari drove a lead-off homer over the fence in left field in the bottom of the fourth to make it a 2-0 game. It was her sixth home run this season and 31st RBI.
