A West Lothian resident was left baffled after a tradesman was caught 'fly tipping' used fence posts. Captured on Friday April 11 at 4.35pm, a male can be seen working on a garden fence in Bathgate. The clip, which was sent to Edinburgh Live, then appears to show the man throwing old fence posts into a woodland area behind the newly erected garden fence.

Edinburgh parents are weighing up their options after a vital service for families announced its potential closure. Those who use Kidscene in Morningside say they are 'stressed and anxious' after Sight Scotland, who run the service, said its future is up in the air as it 'no longer reflects its original purpose'. Kidscene was launched in 2012, with an aim of getting children from Royal Blind School to mix and play with children from mainstream education.

A Leith cocktail bar is about to go 'On Tour' with their new drinks trailer offering a service for festivals and events. The Barologist located by The Shore have unveiled the new vehicle which will be staffed by skilled bartenders offering to create a variety of well-known and unique tasty cocktails. The trailer will be at Leith Market on June 12 and July 12 to showcase their quirky new piece of kit for locals.

Edinburgh residents had to race from their homes as a fire engulfed a top floor flat. Locals reported being woken up by neighbours screaming for them to get out of their homes as flames tore through a property at the Torrance Park area of the city. A video shared by an eye witness shows flames shooting out of the flat's windows on the top floor as smoke can be seen billowing out of the block.

An Edinburgh firefighter has used his grief at losing his mum to release an album that pays tribute to her ‘free spirit’. Ruben Partington, from Moredun, lost his mother Mary Abbott when she was travelling in Brazil in 2023. Ruben, whose stage name is Deadloch, was devastated by the death of his mum, who he described as a best friend and trusted confidant. Mary was tragically only 58 when she lost her life in South America.
