EDISON, NJ - An elderly Edison woman was fatally hit by a car in a shopping center parking lot, according to police. Authorities say that Veena Kriplayni, age 81, succumbed to her injuries after being transported to the hospital. On Thursday, at around 6:30 AM, police say they arrived at the Inman Grove Shopping Plaza. According to Police Chief Thomas Bryan, Kriplayni was struck by a woman from Edison Township who was traveling slowly through the parking lot.
