Authorities say that Veena Kriplayni, age 81, succumbed to her injuries after being transported to the hospital. On Thursday, at around 6:30 AM, police say they arrived at the Inman Grove Shopping Plaza. According to Police Chief Thomas Bryan, Kriplayni was struck by a woman from Edison Township who was traveling slowly through the parking lot.

Steve Mitchell, also known as “Sonny Mitchell,” and Samuel Mitchell of Bohemia, New York, have each been charged with four counts of tax evasion. According to the AG’s Office, the two men operated several roofing businesses under different names. Between 2018 and 2021, they failed to file their tax returns and pay income taxes.
