Several Scots residents fearfor their pets' lives, after a devastating blaze tore through a residential building in the early hours of Sunday. A Scots mum has told how her whole life was "shattered" after discovering her seven-year-old son had a brain tumour following a routine MRI scan. Mason Mackenzie woke up in January unable to move due to neck pain so his mum, Carly Mackenzie phoned the GP to make an appointment. The 26-year-old, from Wallyford, could not get her son out of bed to attend the appointment so was advised to take Mason straight to A&E.

Cops have launched a probe after a 'terrifying' explosion at a Scots Chinese takeaway. Alarmed residents were forced to evacuate their homes just before 6am on Wednesday, March 6, after a large explosion in Tranent, East Lothian, when an oil drum caught fire. Vince Kerr, 57, who lives above the Tranent Villa takeaway, says the loud bang woke up his neighbour's dog which luckily led to the neighbours alerting one another to escape.

The shocking moment two cars were engulfed in flames on a quiet street has been caught on camera by a terrified resident. Hero firefighters raced to Learmonth Court in Edinburgh in the early hours of Friday morning after reports of the blaze. Police also attended the scene and have launched a probe into the incident, which is understood to have also involved a third car and is being treated as "wilful" by the force.

The shocking incident took place on Friday, October 27 in Musselburgh, East Lothian and was filmed by a horrified local who witnessed the attack. After hearing shouts from the street a concerned neighbour went to see what was going on and captured the cruel incident on camera before reporting it.
