Australian hockey player Tom Craig attempted to run away from police trying to arrest him for buying a gram of cocaine on the streets of Paris before realising he could not escape pursuing officers. The Kookaburras veteran has had his Olympic rights stripped from him, been banned from the athletes village and told he does not have the right to march in the closing ceremony.

The International Boxing Association has sensationally accused the IOC of corruption, confirming XY athletes Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-Ting have male biology and should be banned from the Paris Games. Hungarian boxer Anna Luca Hamori has inflamed tensions ahead of her upcoming bout with controversial boxer Imane Khelif, sharing a mock photograph of the Algerian portrayed as a cartoon beast. Hamori had claimed to be not scared of Khelif who had smashed the face of her first opponent, Italian Angela Carini on Thursday (AEST). “If she or he is a man, it will be a bigger victory for me if I win,” she said.
