    TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A firearm discharged at Cascades Park early Monday morning injuring two people, according to the Tallahassee Police Department. It happened around 4:11 a.m. when three people, ages 19, 18, and 17, were handling a gun in the park. Police say the weapon discharged, hitting the 19-year-old and grazing the 18-year-old. Police say they later recovered the discarded gun at the scene and confiscated it for evidence. Police haven't released the names of those involved.

    TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Leon County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a Rickards High School student. According to deputies, the student hit a staff member in the chest several times Wednesday. It started as a disagreement with staff about the return of a Leon County Schools electronic device. The news released states the student was told to leave the area, but refused and then blocked a doorway.

    Phoenix Ikner, the suspected gunman in the FSU shooting, has been indicted by a grand jury on nine counts. The five-page indictment filed Wednesday includes two counts of first-degree murder and seven counts of attempted first degree murder with a firearm. Police say Ikner killed two people and injured several others in April on campus last month. Ikner found out during his first appearance on Tuesday he would not be released from jail.

    TALLAHASSEE, FL — The suspected FSU shooting suspect Phoenix Ikner, has been denied bond. Twenty-year-old Ikner is charged with two counts of first degree murder and seven counts of attempted murder. Court records show on April 17 at 11:58 a.m., the Consolidated Dispatch Agency received multiple calls reporting an active shooter at FSU between the Student Union and Moore Auditorium. Officers say they encountered the suspect in a shooting stance outside the Student Union.
