One man is dead and another is in stable condition after a fiery crash on the city's northwest side. "We had somebody lose their life today," Officer Drew Brown said at the scene. A Marion County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) deputy was arrested for continuously shoplifting from an east-side Walmart while either in uniform or using an official vehicle. The deputy was observed multiple times on video not scanning items at self-checkouts and was detained after one incident. Now an ex-deputy, the Marion County Sheriff's Office confirmed with IndyStar that Beavo has been terminated, and a status of counsel hearing for his case is set for June 18, 2025.
