(This article will update)A west Indianapolis bus stop became a crime scene Thursday afternoon when a man was fatally shot. The shooting happened about 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of West Morris and Hiatt streets. Arriving Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers found the man near an IndyGo bus stop, and he was taken to a hospital in critical condition before later being pronounced dead.

Meteorologists are keeping a close eye on a storm that could bring large hail, flooding and damaging winds to Indiana later this week. Scattered severe storms are possible overnight Friday, starting around 8 p.m., according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Indianapolis. The storms follow a cold front moving southeastward that prompted a frost advisory early Wednesday.
