A TUAM mother and baby home survivor has recently met his brother for the first time – 30 years after being reunited with their mum. John Rodgers, 77, who was born in the Co Galway home, and Patrick Rodgers, 60, met up after spending much of their lives unaware the other existed. The Tuam home has been at the centre of an investigation after nearly 800 children died there. Researchers estimate that on average a child died every two weeks between 1925 and 1961.
