LINCOLN, Neb (KOLN/Gray News) - A man in Nebraska is accused of injecting a 17-year-old girl with meth before sexually assaulting her. Lincoln Police received a call from a social worker with Lincoln Public Schools on April 28. The 17-year-old girl told one worker that 45-year-old Peder Laumer gave her drugs and sexually assaulted her earlier this year at his home, according to court records.

Father Joe Bernardo has been suspended after being placed on administrative leave in recent months, according to a release shared with Pius X members on Tuesday. Bernardo, who’s worked with the school for several years, took a sabbatical and sought inpatient counseling late last year.

After an even first half, substitute Mikel Merino bagged a late brace to give the title-chasing visitors all three points. That was probably our best defensive performance, at least for the first 80 minutes. For once, this wasn’t a matter of constant last-ditch blocks and great saves. City held Arsenal largely at bay and looked comfortable defensively.
