BUZZARDS BAY — Fresh off its third state title in the last four seasons, it’s safe to say the Norwell boys’ lacrosse team has arrived as an established program. The third-seeded Clippers led wire-to-wire over top-seeded Cohasset in Saturday’s Division 4 state final, scoring the first three goals and never looking back in an 11-6 victory over their South Shore League foes at Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

HINGHAM — In fitting fashion, the Mansfield boys’ lacrosse team has one-upped its success from a season ago. The fifth-seeded Hornets are semifinal-bound for the first time in program history following a 12-11 Division 2 upset of No. 4 Hingham on Friday night, vanquishing the Harbormen after falling to them in last year’s quarterfinals. “It’s a great group that looks at each game individually,” Mansfield coach Tim Frias said.

ATTLEBORO — A month removed from its last loss, the Bishop Feehan boys’ lacrosse team had the perfect remedy for what ailed it in a one-goal setback to Xaverian on May 3. Matched up against the very same Hawks, the eighth-seeded Shamrocks unleashed a nearly perfect zone defense in front of junior netminder Keegan Masso, who took care of the rest with 12 saves in a 9-1 win over No. 8 Xaverian to advance to the Division 1 quarterfinals. “We watched a lot of film and got the scout right,” Masso said.

BOSTON — After dishing to Danny Viscione directly for two goals, Nolan Dawson delivered in his own right for a championship finish. The dynamic defenseman cashed in — on a feed from Viscione, naturally — 3:22 into the second overtime Sunday, winning the Billerica boys’ hockey team the Division 2 crown, its first title since 1977, with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Canton at TD Garden. “The kid is automatic,” Viscione said of Dawson, his senior classmate.
