Photo by Dustin Markland/Getty Images Damien Martinez is taking his talents to the NFL!With the 223rd pick of Round 7, the Seattle Seahawks selected the standout running back to join their team. Seattle is no stranger to selecting Canes running backs in the NFL Draft as they DeeJay Dallas 144th overall in 2020 and Travis Homer 204th overall in 2019. They add another physical 6’0” 217lb back, Martinez, who brings a wealth of talent, and years of production, to the NFL.

Photo by Bryan Bennett/Getty Images It’s a kicker! The New England Patriots took the first kicker off the board at 182nd overall (6th round) as Andres Borregales heads to colder weather. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela and raised in South Florida, where he attended Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School, Borregales followed his brother, Jose’s footsteps to the U. Jose set the standard for Andres to replicate as he won the Lou Groza Award given to the nation’s top collegiate kicker.

Photo by Ric Tapia/Getty Images The Miami Hurricanes prospects are started to fly off the 2025 NFL Draft shelves on Day Three. And for this one, there will be some familiarity as two Canes will report to the same team. Miami EDGE Defender, Tyler Baron, ships off to the New York Jets, who used their 176th overall pick, the final pick of the fifth round, just 14 picks after his teammate, LB Francisco Mauigoa, went 162nd to the same destination. Baron, similar to Mauigoa, was a transfer to Miami.

Photo by Michael Pimentel/ISI Photos/Getty Images The Miami Hurricanes have had a second player taken in the draft. TE Elijah Arroyo earned that distinction by being taken with the 50th overall pick in the second round of the draft on Friday night by the Seattle Seahawks. Arroyo only started one year at Miami but was an electric playmaker as a vertical threat on his way to Second Team All-ACC honors.
