CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO. - (WSIL) - Due to heavy and damaging storms in the region, All Southeast Missouri State University classes will start at 11:00 a.m.The delay will allow university officials to assess damage and provide time to cleanup. Offices will open at 11:00 a.m. and classes beginning at 11:00 a.m. or later will proceed as scheduled. Classes that start before 11:00 a.m. are canceled.

MARION, IL (WSIL) - The Gem, Mineral, Fossil, & Jewelry show comes back to Marion on April 12th & 13th. It will take place at The Pavilion in Marion. Admission is $2 for adults and free for those 18 and younger. The event will feature exhibits of minerals, fossils, artifacts, gemstones, jewelry, shells and lapidary work. It will also feature a special dinosaur exhibit. Those in attendance can also enjoy free parking, door prizes and silent auctions each day.

PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) — This is the third round of funding for the six projects at five of Kentucky's riverfront ports. It totals more than 1.5 million dollars. The aim is to increase economic activity efficiency and connectivity for Kentucky industries. The funding comes from a grant program established by the 2024 General Assembly and approved by Governor Andy Beshear. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is responsible for administering the funds.

MURRAY, KY (WSIL) - The Murray State Women's Basketball team is going dancing. The Racers will face the Iowa Hawkeyes. Murray State is the #11 seed, Iowa is the #11 seed. The two will meet in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The game is set for Sunday, March 22nd at 11:00AM at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Oklahoma. The game will also be televised nationally on ESPN. This will be the first meeting between Iowa and Murray State. Iowa is 22-10 overall, Murray State is 25-7.
